More Info:
Wonderful Nature Center with trails, live animals, play areas and live birds of prey. Accessibility Note: The Center is accessible but there is a 0.3 mile walk down a hill to get to the center from the parking lot. You could drive down and drop off I believe which would be much easier! Click here to see my insta reel.
#1 – 😷 Great protocols: One way arrows on the floor, free masks if you need them (100% mask usage), hand sanitizer at each station and we were the only ones there on a week day afternoon. Also when we went they had 2 doors open for air circulation which I loved.
#2 – 🐢 Animals! Its been a year since we went to the Zoo or inside other nature center. My daughter especially loves animals and was SO excited.
#3 – 🦅 Raptors! They have 3 live raptors who were rescued from car accidents and it was great to learn more.
#4 – 🍃 Hiking trails: They have just 2 miles of hiking trails but very lovely ones and easy with kids (NOT stroller friendly tho)
#5 – 🚻 Restrooms! They have 4 individual restrooms nice and clean.
🅿️ – You do need to park at the top of the hill at 2845 Marcey Rd, Arlington, Virginia and then walk 300 yards to the nature center. It is a paved road (good for stroller) but only for park vehicles.
