Walker Mill Park is probably in our top 2 for Maryland playgrounds. It's woodland themed with so many fun features like joke-telling gnome statues, floor piano, long slides, and farm animals. They usually have misters on in the summer but be aware I have heard that sometimes they are not on. More from our visit in the link below.

Sophie and Madigan's Playground is a beautiful Fairy Tale playground built in memorial of two sisters. ⁣ 📍- Contender Way, Frederick MD (3 miles west from downtown Frederick)⁣ ⏰- Open sunrise to sunset ⁣ 🚻 - There are permanent restrooms but they were locked when we went on Sunday.⁣ 🅿️ - Huge parking lot. ⁣ 😷 - Lots of kids on a beautiful Sunday but room enough to spread out. ⁣ ♿️ - Yes! ⁣ 🌳- No shade except for one small bench area.
