Fairies of Del Ray
Fairies of Del Ray is a "fairy door hunt" for the tiniest of doors in Del Ray, just north of Old Town Alexandria. My kids kept wanting to find just one more but with 76 on the free Google map we still have tons more to find on another trip! Check out @fairiesofdelray for the Google Map Link and to see Young's wonderful creations. 🚻 No public restrooms but many of the independent shops and restaurants are open.🅿️ Free street parking. We parked at the intersection of Mount Vernon and E Howell. Mount Vernon Ave. is the main street in Del Ray.

Bon Air Memorial Rose Garden
Bon Air Rose Garden is stunning in the Spring and Summer with roses! 2 years in a row at Bon Air Memorial Rose Garden in Arlington. Lovely little park with playground, tennis courts and on Four Mile Run Trail! Located next to Belmont Park. Roses bloom from May to October with 120 different types of roses. Restrooms are across Wilson Street if needed in an emergency.

Hidden Oaks Nature Park is a wonderful spot in any season! Small pond with paved trail. Nature Center has live animals, interactive exhibits and toys for kids to learn about nature. Also a nature play space, forest and creek trails and a butterfly sanctuary.
