Ever After Alpaca Farm

Farm in Broad Run, VA | Outdoors | For Kids of All Ages

Ever After Alpaca Farm is a family-run Alpaca farm in Broad Run Virginia, close to Manassas. You can book a time to feed and pet them. Truly amazing experience if you have an animal-loving kiddo! We had the best time at a private Alpaca farm visit in Broad Run, Virginia today! Heidi runs the family farm and wonderfully shares with others her love for these adorable animals! ⁣ We all learned so much as Heidi is very knowledgeable about each of her 11 Alpaca’s personalities. (Cool fact: if there’s a predator, the head of the herd will try to scare it away and if not, it will lay down and sacrifice itself for its herd family).⁣ ⁣ The best part of the time was seeing my kids run and play freely and having quiet moments feeding the Alpacas. They are an appointment-only farm.

Burnside Farms Tulips

Burnside Farms

Burnside Farms Tulips is one of our favorite traditions in the spring! It is a family run farm in Haymarket that has millions of tulips in the Spring and thousands of sunflowers in the summer! Their Festival of Spring dates is usually announced about a week before because it is based on the blooms. Check the Burnside Farms Tulips Facebook page for daily updates at the end of March. Last year you signed up for a time slot to ensure social distancing.

Frying Pan Hours

Frying Pan Hours are the Grounds are open dawn to dusk and the Farm is open daily 9 AM to 5 PM. Frying Pan Farm is a wonderful county park with a living farm with dozens of animals. There are also truck rides and carousel rides you can book on the county website. Couple of tips on your visit to Frying Pan Farm: 1) Use this address to get to the Farm: 2709 West Ox Rd, Herndon, VA (your GPS might take you to the Visitors Center which is further down the road). 2) Permanent restrooms are next to carousel along with a nice playground. There are also restrooms in the Equestrian Center. 3) More pics of adorable animals @friendsoffryingpan and run by Fairfax County Parks. One of my favorite places in Nova as a mom to take my kids from when they were babies to now!
