Turning Point Suffragist Memorial
The Turning Point Suffragist Memorial was a great spot for all in our family. It is located in Occoquan Regional Park, Fairfax County, Virginia. It is a large memorial along the banks of the Occoquan River. It memorializes the Silent Sentinel suffragists aged 19 to 73 who were unjustly imprisoned at nearby Lorton Workhouse. When people learned about their imprisonment, it was the Turning Point in the battle for suffrage. Also, had great dinner on the water at Brickmakers Cafe!
