Gulf Branch Nature Center

Gulf Branch Nature Center

1️⃣ 4 miles from Georgetown but in Virginia⁣ 2️⃣ Historic cabins but park is surrounded by very large modern homes 3️⃣ Nature Center is closed but there’s a live Barred Owl you can watch 🦉 ⁣ ⁣ We’re at Gulf Branch Nature Center off Military Rd in Arlington! Big thx to @tifflew80 for sharing this spot with me. It’s also very close to Potomac Overlook Park. ⁣ ⁣ The park has lovely nature hikes and bridges to explore. And also a log cabin, blacksmith forge, and an outdoor classroom. The sounds of running water are never far and so peaceful. 💫⁣ ⁣ Couple of videos in stories/VA outings highlights to show the layout of the park. ⁣ ⁣ 🅿️ Small parking lot but be aware you need to check the driveway for any oncoming cars since it’s two way but only room for one car at a time! ⁣ 🚻 No restrooms while the center is closed for covid ⁣ 😷 Only saw 2 dog walkers the whole time we were there! ⁣ ♿️ Not wheelchair or stroller friendly
