We had a wonderful time picking apples at Homestead Farm in Poolesville, MD. Can't believe we got to pick our favorite type of apple, Pink Lady, in late October! This working farm is a great spot to visit if you are looking for a real working farm with lots of animals, acres of fruit, and great prices.

It costs just $2 for entry and the Pink Lady's were $1.99 a pound. The farm is 400 acres with pick-your-own options depending on the season including peaches, blueberries, blackberries, pumpkins, apples, and tart cherries. Also has a great farm stand and haystack play area for kids. My favorite part was the beautiful views of the hills and pond.
