  • Saturday, Oct 29: In-Person Día de los Muertos Family Day from 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. ET at the American Art Museum. In the beautiful Kogod Courtyard. Free but must register here.
  • Until November 27: See Yayoi Kusama's beautiful exhibit One with Eternity at the Hirshhorn. (Note: Closed for maintenance November 7, 8 and 9. Will reopen on November 10.)
  • Saturday, Oct 29: The Great Southwest Paper Pumpkin Contest at Southwest Neighborhood Library all day! Info here.

  • Saturday, Oct. 29: Air and Scare at the Air and Space Museum Virginia - October 29 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Free but tickets are required.
  • Monday, Oct 31: The Swiss Bakery in Springfield will have Fun Food, Treats and Surprise for Little Kids. Lunch to purchase until 2PM. Details on their Facebook page.

Looking Ahead - Weekend Events that Require Tickets

  1. Air Play at Kennedy Center November 4-6. More details and beautiful pictures of the performance here.
    1. From their website: Umbrellas fly, fabrics soar over the audience, balloons swallow people, and snow swirls, filling the stage. Air Play transforms ordinary objects into uncommon beauty through a wordless, magical adventure as two siblings journey through a surreal land of air.
  2. The Big Build Returns tot he National Building Museum on November 5th! More details here.
  3. Garden of Lights at Brookside Gardens has already opened its tickets! It sold out last year on some prime weekends.
  4. Meadowlark's Winter Walk of Lights opened their tickets this week too. One of our favs. I will update my Holiday Lights blog post soon but here are some pics of previous years.
